How did you feel after hearing about all these ways to GLOWUP?
Lynn: I now feel that I should look deeper into the ingredients inside the products that I use.
What’s one thing that you’ve learnt from the event?
Lynn: I learnt that from today onwards, we really have to start taking care of our bodies and that we are all beautifully made by God, and so we should learn how to appreciate ourselves. I think that we also truly need to start having a closer bond between mother and daughter.
Christabelle: I feel that we are beautiful just the way we are, and that we don’t have to put on a lot of makeup just to feel beautiful.
Has this event drawn you two closer together?
Lynn: Yes, definitely it has. We have learnt so much from all the speakers and really look at the communication we have to be able to improve our relationship.
How have these speeches impacted you?
Lynn: It has impacted me a lot, because I learnt about taking care of my body and having a stronger relationship with my daughter. The last speaker’s speech impacted me especially because it was about losing her mum, and you cannot turn back the time. So while we can, we should cherish all our relationships, especially with out close ones.
Christabelle: They have impacted me greatly and made me feel much closer to my mum.
Mommy Grace and Anna
How did you feel after hearing about all these ways to GLOWUP?
Grace: Some of the topics are very touching and aptly for mother and daughter. The importance of just having this relationship, I think that that is very affirming. So hearing all these ways to glow up really help me to think about our relationship and the dynamics of being a mother to a daughter.
Anna: I agree. Everytime my mum nags, I always find it extremely annoying, but after hearing these speakers and what they shared, I think I’ll take my mum more seriously than
just asking her to stop talking.
What’s one thing that you’ve learnt from the event?
Grace: I feel quite empowered somehow, in that God made us to start off from young daughters and then grow into mothers, like me, and I feel that the workshop really reminds me of how God created women for this journey, and it’s very meaningful.
Anna: I learnt that I should be taking my mum more seriously, because I don’t actually listen to her a lot. I didn’t know that I should be doing that more. I didn’t know my mum had faced through the many difficulties that I have.
Has this event drawn you two closer together?
Grace: I think that it definitely raised the importance of bonding with your daughter.
Anna: And bonding with your mum!
How have these speeches impacted you?
Grace: I think that the speeches has really taught me to be more sensitive to my daughter.
Anna: Me too!
How did you feel after hearing about all these ways to GLOWUP?
Gail: I am determined to do better for myself and for my family. I think what’s precious is the relationship we have now with our loved ones.
Andrea: I feel determined to be more healthy.
What’s one thing that you’ve learnt from the event?
Gail: I’ve learnt many things I didn’t know about health.
Andrea: I’ve learnt how to be healthy and don’t take my mum or the people around me for granted.
Has this event drawn you two closer together?
Gail: It has. I think I should be more understanding towards my daughter and focus on the bigger picture.
Andrea: Yes, it helped me to realise that sometimes my mum may seem annoying but the words she says benefits me and are only there to help me.
How have these speeches impacted you?
Gail: It’s a reminder of how relationships are more important than many other things.
Andrea: It’s very different from what I’m used to so it really helped me to have a more open mind and reminds me that things will definitely change.
